Norfolk, NE: Heritage of Bel-Air Library Expands with Resident’s Help

The Heritage of Bel-Air library moved! With more than 800 books total, the library had officially outgrown its space in the chapel and has now found a new home near the west entrance.

Heritage of Bel-Air’s library began over a year ago and was led by our resident Lucille (pictured). As a former teacher and librarian, she’s helped set up many libraries including card catalog systems. And the project at Bel-Air has been a labor of love for her as she’s arranged and categorized all the books into sections – classified, large print, fiction and non-fiction, and set-up a checkout system.

We love having an in-house librarian! And residents love have access to good reads at all times.

Lucille was featured in a recent Norfolk Daily News article: https://norfolkdailynews.com/select/nursing-home-expands-library-for-residents/article_48fa0200-8af8-11ea-94b1-8f60a5cbd73b.html
