Norfolk, NE: Heritage of Bel-Air celebrates Dr. Seuss

Heritage of Bel-Air team members celebrated Dr. Seuss week with themed activities March 2-6. Each day’s activities were based off a Dr. Seuss book.

Monday’s book featured was “10 Apples Up on Top!” Team members dressed in red and were treated to apples. We even had an apple stacking game where team members attempted to balance apples on their head.

Green eggs and ham were cooked up and served as part of Tuesday’s festivities corresponding with the Dr. Seuss book of the same name and team members wore green.

Wednesday’s theme was “Cat In the Hat” where team members dressed up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. Everyone brought a dish to share for a potluck meal. Donna Marotz was also honored for her work anniversary of 20 years as our Environmental Services Coordinator.

The chocolate Chex snack mix known as puppy chow was the treat for the Dr. Seuss book “Go Dog Go!” on Thursday. “Fox in Socks” was the book featured Friday with pictures of a fox in socks hidden around the building that when found were turned in for a prize. Team members also wore crazy socks to commemorate the day.

Along with all of the activities, team members took part in a Dr. Seuss book giveaways each day. The week was sponsored by Heritage of Bel-Air’s Pep Club.

Excellent Teams: We will select and develop team members who radiate warmth, compassion and respect while skillfully performing their duties.
