Norfolk, NE: Heritage of Bel-Air Starts Library With Resident’s Help

Looking for a book on birds? Prayer? Crafts? NASCAR? The Heritage of Bel-Air library has it all – poetry, Nebraska-themed books, the “Little House on the Prairie” series AND a collection of novels by Danielle Steel, James Patterson or Nicholas Sparks. In total, the library has expanded to four large shelving units and contain more than 400 books.

The library project began in February and was led by our resident Lucille. As a former teacher and librarian, she’s helped set up many libraries including card catalog systems. And the project at Bel-Air has been a labor of love for her as she’s arranged and categorized all the books into sections – classified, large print, fiction and non-fiction, and set-up a checkout system.

Since February, more than 125 books have been checked out by Bel-Air residents and team members. And we are so grateful for Lucille and all of her hard work in making the library accessible and enjoyable to all.
