Home Office: CRC’s Go On The Road For PDPM Training With VHS MDS/Care Plan Coordinators

On September 10-12th, the Clinical Reimbursement Coordinators at VHS took their message about PDPM on the road to the MDS and Care Plan Coordinators. PDPM is a new Medicare payment model for skilled nursing facilities. Our stops included Linden Court in North Platte, Brookestone Acres in Columbus and Brookestone Meadows in Elkhorn. We had 100% participation including 2 via Skype from Springfield MO and 1 getting a personal training session in Lander WY! Topics included PDPM and the MDS Coordinator, Interrupted Stay and IPA Policies, MDS 3.0 Updates, Oh My GG and a New Look to the Medicare Meeting. Our sessions started with a recorded message from our VSL President, Glenn Van Ekeren that included words of encouragement & support and even in true Glenn style, a joke about bulls, surveyors and ice cream! Ask your MDS/Care Plan Coordinator if you want more details on that!
The Clinical Reimbursement Coordinators appreciate all the hard work and dedication of the MDS and Care Plan Coordinators and look forward helping our teams down the PDPM path.
