Lake City, IA: Annual Pet Show

The pet show was a success! Many residents attended and sat in a huge circle in the dining room to observe and meet all of the various pets that came to the show. There was a good variety of pets at the show this year: a German Shepherd, three Rhode Island Red pullets, three guinea pigs, and three Australian Shepherds. All of the pets were well behaved for being in an unfamiliar place with so many people! All of the owners answered many questions about their pets; the residents enjoyed hearing all of these details. The dogs were a lot of fun to watch, especially the Australian Shepherds since they were all the same age, had the same parents, and were very playful. It was very unusual to have chickens and guinea pigs come for a visit, so the residents made the most of the opportunity, petting and holding these creatures as much as they could.

Quality Life: We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
