Springfield, MO: Back to the Past

A recent tour of College of the Ozarks was an interesting and fun trip for Community Members at Creekside. There was one individual on the trip that felt a tug at her heart strings and was filled with a rush of fond memories. She soaked up every word that the tour guide said, ask several questions, and beamed with pride the entire day! Myrtle Van Deventer, attended the college from 1952 to 1956. She was treated like royalty by the Alumni Association while she was on Campus. Myrtle, and her late husband, have supported the college throughout the years and the Alumni Office was very familiar with them. At the end of the tour Myrtle received a tote bag filled with several special items just for her! Not only does she treasure her Alumni gifts, but also the new memories she made returning to such a special place in her heart.
