Geneva, NE: Certified Nurses Day

Here at Heritage Crossings, in Geneva, we believe in building the best of the best! So, it should come as no surprise that when March 19th, Certified Nurses Day, came around, we celebrated Maria Beck, Laura Lea (Administrator), & Shari Lambrecht (Director of Nursing), three of our nurses!

Certified Nurses Day is held annually on March 19th, celebrating and honoring nurses worldwide who contribute to better patient outcomes through national board certification, in their specialty. According to UNMC’s website, a registered nurse (RN) license allows nurses to practice and a certification affirms advanced knowledge, skill, and practice to meet the challenges of modern nursing.

According to nurses.org there are 183 different nursing certifications. Of those, less than one percent of RN’s hold their certification in gerontological nursing- the gold standard in demonstrating clinical excellence in geriatric patient care. Less than one percent of RN’s hold this credentialing, and Heritage Crossings is blessed to have three nurses with this certification!

Here at Heritage Crossings, we strive to live by our Mission, Vision, Values, embracing Excellence, meaning “we continually pursue opportunities to improve ourselves and the services we provide. We learn from our experiences, build on our successes, and make changes when changes are beneficial. We develop people’s strengths and remain committed to becoming the Best of the Best.”

We are proud to have Laura, Maria, & Shari as part of our team here at Heritage Crossings, setting a wonderful example of what it means to be “The Best of The Best”!

Excellence-We continually pursue opportunities to improve ourselves and the services we provide. We learn from our experiences, build on our successes, and make changes when changes are beneficial. We develop people’s strengths and remain committed to becoming the Best of the Best.
