Alliance, NE: Living It Up At Mardi Gras

We celebrated Mardi Gras in style in western Nebraska!! Our day started with glitter masks at every table, beaded necklaces, and green, yellow, and purple decorations everywhere!! The residents were also dressed in those signature colors. Then the real fun began! The high school Jazz Band from our local school came and entertained us for one hour! Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey were in the house or the dining room. We loved every note! The crowd was toe-tapping silly when ‘In the Mood’ was played. The students did a fabulous job. They played instruments ranging from trumpets and trombones to a keyboard and saxophones. The day was complete with Mardi Gras pretzels made by the residents themselves. Old jazz band albums were played in the LE room in the afternoon. Fun and fellowship prevailed. Our residents truly enjoyed the day and the smiles on their faces always remind us that this is why we do what we do!!!!

Quality Life-We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
