Elkhorn, NE: The Christmas Cabaret

This past Saturday, we had the honor of hosting a Christmas Cabaret group that drew a large crowd. This group featured a piano player and three singers, including our beloved Beth Asbjornson. Families and resident alike piled into the grand Community Room to watch a one of a kind performance. The group’s set ranged from the Andrews Sisters to Aretha Franklin, and included other popular Christmas songs. After a week of decorating and getting in the Christmas spirit, this was a great way to spread the holiday cheer.

After the performance, our very own Sam, a 99 year old resident, got his chance to share music he had written to go with the “Our Father” prayer. Beth sang the vocals as she played Sam’s handwritten melody. What a special moment to share in our community!
