Omaha, NE: Throwing Turkeys for Turkeys!

In bowling, when you knock down all ten pins with one throw of a bowling ball, it’s called a strike. When you have three consecutive strikes, it’s called a “Turkey.” What is it called when you throw a “Turkey,” with an actual turkey? We call it Turkey Bowling at Brookestone Village!

To get into the spirit of Thanksgiving, our team members and residents had a blast knocking pins down with the frozen bird. Each participant was given three throws to knock down as many pins as possible. Our top finishers received turkeys, hams and gift certificates to Hy-Vee. Other prizes included the ingredients for popular Thanksgiving side dishes, such as; green bean casserole, yams & marshmallows, mashed potatoes & gravy, and stuffing. Most of the prizes were then donated to our Food Drive, benefiting the Bethlehem House.

Excellent Teams:  We will select and develop team members who radiate warmth, compassion and respect while skillfully performing their duties.
