Norfolk, NE: Let the Creativity Flow

Team members and residents at Heritage of Bel-Air were more creative than ever with its annual pumpkin decorating contest. Team members paired up and came up with an array of ideas! There was a pumpkin in a bathtub with curlers for hair, Oscar the Grouch with real trash on his trash can, a baby elephant, and a clown pumpkin with working lights, just to name a few! This year, the residents joined in the fun and displayed pumpkins they created during an activity.

Visitors, families, residents and team members voted for their favorite pumpkin by donating money. The pumpkin with the most money donated had a Breast Cancer Awareness theme and was submitted by Cami (Social Services) and Trisha (Public Relations). Altogether, Bel-Air raised $379.42 for Bright Horizons, a local agency that provides support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Creativity is already flowing for next year’s contest as team members and residents are looking forward to continuing the tradition!
