Norfolk, NE: Bel-Air residents love ‘Lucy’

Residents experienced a blast from the past when Heritage of Bel-Air’s own ‘Lucille Ball’ made an appearance last month.

Gail, a Life Enrichment coordinator, donned the character’s signature look – from the red curls and hair tie to the polka-dot dress to commemorate I Love Lucy Day on Oct. 15.

It was on that day in 1951 that “I Love Lucy” made its television debut. The American sitcom starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and William Frawley was the first scripted program filmed before a live audience. It was the most popular show in America for four of its six seasons, airing from 1951-57.
