Papillion, NE: Papillion Manor County Fair Celebration

Papillion Manor hosted it’s Second Annual County Fair. Residents worked on projects in four different categories to earn ribbons for their efforts. Submissions included quilts, cookies, ceramic paintings, woodworking and more! They also had a visit from a very cuddly bunny that was loved on by all.

Family members came to visit over dinner with their family members, view the projects and play some fair games. The Kissing Booth was a popular fair game where you had to guess the number of kisses in the jar, the closest winning guess was from a friend of a resident, Violet A. Her prize was all 257 kisses in the jar!

Families enjoyed a dinner of pulled pork, corn dogs, baked bean and cole slaw. They also enjoyed pie and cotton candy for dessert.

The newly installed shade tent was a huge hit for residents and family as they enjoyed their meal on the patio.

This year’s King and Queen were Bill Harrington and Marie Torczon. Marie’s son was on hand to crown his mother as Queen. Their duties included looking fabulous, presiding over the Fair Dinner and waving to their adoring fans down the halls.
