Hooper, NE: Husker Dreams

Thanks to Tammy Kreikemeier our Life Enrichment Coordinator for getting dreams to come true for two of our Residents through Dream Weaver an organization that helps elders accomplish a dream they still have. Two of our Residents, Della and Cindy each wanted to attend a home Nebraska Football game. Della wanted to go before she could no longer see and Cindy had never had a chance to attend a game before. Dream Weavers not only provided tickets to the Nebraska vs. Purdue on Sept. 29 game but made sure the ladies attended in style with new shirts, sweat shirts, hats, blankets and of course the Corn Head and Fan Finger. The game was a 2:30 start so the package also included lunch on the way, and all the eats they wanted during the game. We may not have gotten the dream of a Husker win but the ladies enjoyed the day and stayed outside for the majority of it. (it was cold and wet) Della made a comment after one of our scores “That was really good even through my bad eyes.” We want to Thank Ashley the Dream coordinator for helping us make our Resident’s dreams come true.
