North Platte, NE: Capture the Moments of Assisted Living Week

National Assisted Living Week gave residents at Linden Estates extra activities to celebrate. With the theme of “Capture the Moment” we have had a week-long display of resident’s photos through the years.
We have captured moments such as graduations, military service, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays.

Residents and staff had a special art studio painting class on Monday. Tuesday was a presentation by Humanities Nebraska presenter Lyn Messersmith with her program “The Heart’s Compass”. She shared stories and poems of women and men along the Nebraska pioneer trails of the 1800’s. We enjoyed music with Janice Huber and our Merry Maker of the month John Worsham. The highlight of the festivities was Family Day. Residents and families along with staff and families enjoyed the Dusty Trails petting zoo, country music with
Ray Mullen and a family style BBQ.

Residents had the opportunity all week to use our Photo Booth and take part in the ‘Name the Baby’ staff picture contest. It was a wonderful, fun filled week as residents and staff celebrated being part of this wonderful community. Moments captured during the week will turn into tomorrow’s treasured memories.
