Lincoln, NE: Live Well Go Fish

Richard celebrated his birthday a day early with a trip to Lake Wanahoo and a cruise around the lake via Live Well Go Fish; founded in 2016 by David & Katherine Ruder. Live Well Go Fish has a specially equipped, wheelchair accessible pontoon boat that provided opportunity for Richard, assisted by Southlake Life Enrichment Assistant Janette and Asera Care Hospice staff Allie & Kass to spend time on the water. Richard decided that fishing wasn’t in the cards for him this particular day- but did clearly inform staff upon return that “we caught a squirrel this big” – holding his hands apart. They really did rescue a ground squirrel seen in the water via a fishing net, and released upon return to dry land! That’s teamwork, and quality of life for Mr. Ground Squirrel .

Quality Life:  We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
