Geneva, NE: Heritage Crossings Celebrates 50 Years!

It was a beautiful day on Sunday, June 25th, when we observed our Anniversary Celebration. As usual, we forgot to try and count how many folks enjoyed this delightful afternoon, but it probably would have been pretty difficult to do so, as we had a large crowd, both inside and outside the facility. Music filled the Pond Area as two of the resident’s favorites – Johnny Ray Gomez and Janet Jeffrey of the Kramer Sisters provided a fantastic afternoon of the “really good music” which we listened to years ago! The temperature was perfect and it was so heart-warming to see so many families, friends, and staff enjoying one another’s company. We had a special announcement, announcing that Laura Lea our DON is going to be taking on a new role in the facility as Administrator. After the announcement we had a balloon release in which we released 50 balloons for the 50 years we have been in service to our community, residents, family members, and staffs were eager to participate! A complimentary meal of Pulled Pork, Cheesy Potatoes, and Baked Beans was served by Kerrey’s of McCool Junction and the food was excellent. All in all, it was a most memorable afternoon and evening – one of those times which make everyone step back and be thankful for the many blessings that we have with our very large “Heritage Family”.

Outstanding Facilities-We will develop buildings and grounds that enhance quality life and are recognized as attractive landmarks in their community.
