Lander, WY: Dashing Through the Snow…

Lander is full of busy little elves preparing for the Holiday festivities! On the first activity of Christmas, our staff gave to us a facility full of decorations; garland, ornaments, trees, and presents filled the hallways and rooms alike. The second activity of Christmas our staff gave to us cookie decorating (and eating of course) courtesy of our wonderfully creative residents. The kitchen staff got their Santa aprons on and baked tons of sugar cookies for the residents to decorate for all to share. Residents gathered in the dining room listening to Christmas carols, talking about holidays past, and made beautifully decorated cookies. For the third activity of Christmas the staff gathered items from home and donated them to our very own Santa’s Workshop! Gifts were laid on the tables with care as the residents would soon be there. The elves prepared their table with gift bags, boxes, and bows for a gift wrapping station like never before! At the end of the event there were only two small boxes of trinkets left for next years store. The fourth activity brought Santa and Mrs. Claus to the facility to talk about the sleigh, reindeer, and toys. Families brought kids, grand-kids, and even some fur-kids to meet the jolly old man and snap a couple of pictures. Five activities later we had the sweet sounds of carols filling the halls, as kids from around the town came to share their spirit and sing for all to hear. Residents got handmade cards wishing them all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Then our activities director took a bus full of bundled up residents around town to visit the sites and see the sweet sounds! Laughter and joy filled the bus as they went this way and that way to find the Christmas lights.

Quality Life-We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
