Omaha, NE: “SOS”

Although we may have wanted to send out an “SOS” for help after shocking our bodies with ice water, our SOS at Brookestone Village actually stands for “Showing Our Support”! In front of a crowd of residents cheering us on, team members once again participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to benefit ALS in the Heartland.

Several residents were asked if they wanted to participate…but all who attended laughed out loud first, and then said they thought it would be best to watch…but that they’d be thinking about us as we poured the ice cold water over our heads! It was wonderful to have the support of all in attendance.

This tradition of support started three years ago to honor those residents, past and present, who fight, or who have fought, this disease every day. In addition, we want to support the cause for a cure for anyone yet to be diagnosed!
