Geneva, NE: Heritage Crossings Goes to Lone Star

Five residents enjoyed a special outing last Friday when staff took them to Lone Star Lake near Tobias for a little fishing excursion. After working up appetite fishing, they enjoyed a picnic lunch. The residents caught several different kinds of fish including blue gill and a bullhead. Lola, a resident at Heritage Crossings, told us that she used to go fishing with her father all the time when she was a young girl. This was the first time in 50 years that she was able to go fishing, again! Lola also caught the most fish, so fishing all those years ago with her dad must have paid off! This trip definitely brought up a lot of good memories for everyone. There were big smiles as they returned from the lake and everyone was eager to talk about their catches of the day! A big thanks to staff Veronica, Diana, and Margaret (who was vacationing at Lone Star with her family) for providing this Quality of Life trip for our folks!

Quality Life-We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
