Grand Island, NE: Tiffany Square Rings in National Nursing Home Week!

It’s a small world with a big heart.

Although we at Tiffany Square did not pick the theme for nursing home week; it seemed as though the week was far from miniature in nature and our myocardial function at optimal size and strength. From Monday with our crazy hats-to the Friday Carnival finale, there was something for all to enjoy. Residents, staff, and visitors took the time to celebrate and recognize that nursing facility life is what you make it, and who would want to make it anything less than welcoming and joyous. Monday kicked off the week with wacky caps, ranging from the sun blocking to eye catching variety. Tuesday encouraged folks to think outside the box and ignore all forms of normalcy with miss-match day. Wednesday was “Heart day” in which heart shape cookies were served to pay homage to the theme. Thursday, our Nebraska roots were recognized with a farmer theme. The week closed on Friday complete with a carnival including games, music, picture, and goodies. The residents enjoyed themselves while leadership staff was somewhat nervous. Alas, our fears were calmed when our pie throwing recipient was determined as Monica Lange, Resident Care Coordinator.

Quality Life-We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
