Lander, WY: American Legion National Commander Recognizes Veterans

Today Denise Rohan, National Commander for the American Legion greeted and spoke to the seven Veterans living at Westward Heights.

Her message to the Veterans was that tomorrow is going to be a great Independence Day and that is because of the foundation these Veterans laid for our country. She asked the Veterans to always tell their stories and that by doing do, perhaps someone becomes interested in our history and learns more. Her message and the pins she gives to the Veterans say “Family First” and she thanked Westward Heights staff for the excellent care they give to the Veterans.

She explained that in recent visits to Korea and Europe, their message is thank you to American servicemen and women for the independence gained in their countries through Veteran’s service.

Serving:  We succeed by focusing our attention and energies on anticipating and exceeding people’s expectations. Our actions are driven by a “Yes, I Can” attitude and the commitment that we are “Family Serving Family.”
