Elkhorn, NE: Celebrating Brookestone’s Life Stories

National Nursing Care Week is a special time in our building as it provides us an opportunity to not only celebrate our wonderful residents, but our staff as well. This year’s theme “Celebrating Life Stories” gave us a beautiful canvas to stroll through the decades and share our life stories.

Every long-term resident had a professional picture taken by one of our Occupational Therapists, Staci Slater. The whole staff got involved helping plan outfits, touching up hair and generating the genuine smiles. These pictures truly captured the joyful spirit of each individual and were displayed with their life stories on each of their neighborhoods. Staff also joined in on the fun answering questions about their lives which were also displayed throughout the building.

Each neighborhood was decorated according to a specific decade to celebrate and numerous activities were held throughout the week tied back to celebrating our lives through the decades. Too much fun was had by everyone!

Quality Care-We will dedicate ourselves to provide personalized care and services that achieve extraordinary results and exceed the expectations of those we serve.
