Hooper, NE: Nursing Home Week 2

The theme for Nursing Home Week Day 2 was “Life Stories”. Residents and staff filled out a Life Story questioner about themselves. Information from the questioner was read to the residents and staff and they were tested to see if they could tell who the person was. The afternoon was topped off by a visit of animals from Scatter Joy Acres. The residents loved holding Betty Bacon (a baby miniature pig) and Gracie the goat. They were even entertained by the fact the Lama decided to spit and Diane was the target. It’s always great to see the residents who show little emotion or have little conversation light up with smiles (and shoulder shakes when the Lama spit on Diane).

Quality Life:  We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
