Lincoln, NE: Sumner Place Senior Prom 2018

On Thursday, April 26th, Sumner Place held their annual Senior Prom. In early April, formal gowns for the women along with men’s formal wear from Clara’s Closet were delivered. Residents had a couple weeks to choose their attire for the event. Prom day quickly arrived and residents spent the morning getting their hair and make-up done. After lunch, it was time to hit the dance floor! The event was complete with decorations, roses and professional photography. Each year we say, “This was our best year yet!” and this year was no exception. Family members dressed up, team members dressed up, and some residents even received corsages/boutonnieres from their loved ones. It was an amazing day! “Do you really want to know how it was?” asked a resident, “I had the best time ever!”

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event a success: AseraCare Hospice, Delta Gamma Sorority, Clara’s Closet, our beautician, family members, team members and of course, our wonderful volunteers!

Quality Life:  We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
