Lincoln, NE: Sumner Place Honors Their Volunteers

On Tuesday, April 17th, Sumner Place hosted our annual Volunteer Recognition Social. This event gives our residents, family members and team members the opportunity to thank our volunteers for their countless hours of dedication. The social started with Life Enrichment Coordinator, Monika Garrett, reading a poem and letting our volunteers know how much they are appreciated. “We would not be able to do the things we do without volunteers,” stated Monika. Refreshments and cake were provided at the social. We also played a “Guess Who?” game where each volunteer and resident provided a fact about themselves and we had to guess who it belonged to. Each volunteer got to take home a candy bouquet (made by our residents) along with a poem. Thank you to all volunteers out there – you are truly an inspiration!
