Seward, NE: Day 3 – Cape Day

In the VETTER WAY acronym, R stands for Represent – We are to be happy and interested while having fun at what we do. The W stands for Work & Living Space – We are to do our part to make the work environment a place where people love to be. Both of these happen at Ridgewood through the way we have fun at work!
Ben Rowe, CNA was voted Team Member of the Month, and to honor him and this award, Nurse Mary Homolka made him a cape. After wearing it for a while, he kept it in his locker. It stayed there until the fateful Day 3. While training a new CNA, Ben asked what how many days she had been training, her answer was 3. “Day 3?” asked Ben, “Well you know what day 3 is don’t you? It’s cape day!” Day 3-Cape day has become a “thing” in our building and it is such a great way to have fun at work and create a work environment where people love to be. Just ask Mary, a new Ridgewood nurse who is pictured here on her Day 3. We love our team members at Ridgewood and enjoy seeing our Mission Vision Values lived out through their actions every day.

Excellent Teams:  We will select and develop team members who radiate warmth, compassion and respect while skillfully performing their duties.
