Red Cloud, NE: March Happenings

March came in like a lion here with high winds that could have blown us away, but all carried on anyway with the usual bingo games, card games, music programs, and socials that were well attended. For the Teammates Speech and Sweets Night held at the Red Cloud High School, Heritage’s table was decorated and adorned with a Mardi Gras theme. Marietta Garwood, volunteer, came for crafters corner, helping the crafters make a collage picture with rainbows, leprechauns, and pots of gold full of shiny new pennies. Kim Grams, administrator, was celebrated during Long Term Care Administrators Week and Lora Lutz, SSD, was honored for Social Service Month. The cookie decorating club frosted shamrock shaped cookies that were made by our dietary department and they were delicious! Our first Community Happy Hour was a success with many visitors attending. During Easter week, some of the ladies got together to color Easter eggs using rice and food coloring. The Easter bunny joined our annual egg hunt for the resident’s and staff’s families. By the way, March did not go out like a lamb, but spring came in March, too and we are looking forward to gardening and other outdoor events!

Quality Life:  We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
