Elkhorn, NE: Sharing the Love with Open Door Mission

During the month of February our Brookestone Meadows O.W.L.S. wanted to share the love with Open Door Mission.

They had a cold-weather clothing drive that brought in bags and bags of coats, hats and gloves. They also had a bake sale with delicious homemade cookies, beautifully decorated cards and Valentines decorations, all proceeds also benefiting the Open Door Mission.

“Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission founded in 1954 committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day, Open Door Mission’s campus offers 816 safe, shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves over 2,000 hot, nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty. “ (http://www.opendoormission.org/about-us/)

With a break from ice and snow, it was a sunny crisp day in Elkhorn when we dropped off our collection to the Mission.

Our O.W.L.S. are dedicated to giving back to the community in many ways. This was a warm and delicious way to share the love!

Quality Reputation:  We will be known for promoting relationships of trust, confidence and loyalty through the quality of our services, the honesty of our people and involvement in our community.
