Elkhorn, NE: Brookestone Meadows Leadership Retreat

The Brookestone Meadows Leadership team enjoyed their 2018 Kick Off Retreat on February 15th. This was an opportunity to reflect on the many successes that took a lot of teamwork in 2017 and to look ahead to dream big for 2018.

Each of the exercises were designed to have the team focus on personal and professional successes and goals which then had a corresponding gift with it. During the time together, there were 3 “Fruit Basket Upsets” where activities were stopped and a gift card was won.

The gifts included a bracelet that says, “I’m a Bucket Filler” in reference to book written by Carol McCloud, a stone with an inspirational word, a box of candy hearts with the words Dream Big and a copy of one of Glenn Van Ekeren’s inspirational books.

The kick off celebration also happened to be on Administrator, Virginia Leacock’s birthday! The team surprised her with a cake and gifts which included some of her favorites.

What a gift it is to work with the Best of The Best and have strong leadership to carry us into the new year. We are definitely dreaming big for 2018!

Teamwork:  Our relationships are built on mutual trust and respect. We recognize the value and worth of each person we are privileged to encounter, work with, and serve. We seek to understand what is important to others and let people know they are appreciated for who they are and what they do.
