Omaha, NE: 2018 Brookestone Village Winter Olympic Opening Ceremony

The 2018 Winter Olympic games opened on Friday, February 9th in PyeongChang, South Korea. We kicked off with our very own 2018 Brookestone Village Winter Olympics on the same day. The start of our ceremony began with a passing of the torch from one end of our building to the other, with a representative from each household taking a “leg” of the journey.

We celebrated the opening of our version of the Olympic games with a cake reception. Our cake decorations included seven rings, instead of the standard 5, with each color representing a different household. Our Chef, Garrik Pappas, whipped up some delicious Korean hors d’oeuvres to pay tribute to the host county. We combined the celebration with our standing Friday, Wine & Cheese event. We invited family, and friends to join in the festivities. For the next two weeks, residents will represent their households and compete for medals. Feel free to contact Brookestone Village, for an updated leaderboard listing.

Quality Life-We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
