Norfolk, NE: Blizzard of 2018

Posted in: VSL Community News

What does Heritage of Bel Air do when they get 14 inches of snow and blowing winds. They ROCK It! You could find air mattress and cots in offices and in various corners of the building. Some team member spent 2 nights in the facility to make sure our residents would receive Quality Care. The team had breakfast cereals, eggs, pizza, sloppy joes, soup, doughnuts, omelets and more to make sure that they would not go hungry while they were snowed in.

To help the team members, we even opened a daycare for the team so that need someone to watch their kids while they took care of the residents. The residents enjoyed talking to the kids and seeing them playing in the building.

Maintenance was busy shoveling for 2 days straight. They picked up team members and brought them into work. They were also out helping team members dig out their vehicles.

Thank you to all our team members who went above and beyond to make sure our residents were well taken care off.

Teamwork-Our relationships are built on mutual trust and respect. We recognize the value and worth of each person we are privileged to encounter, work with, and serve. We seek to understand what is important to others and let people know they are appreciated for
who they are and what they do.
