Lincoln, NE: Sensory Exploration Triggers Memories

Anyone else recall the Charles Schultz ‘It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”? Lucy and Linus obtain a pumpkin to carve for a jack-o-lantern; to which Linus wails “You killed it!” That was but one of the laughing comments heard during a Sensory activity/intervention at Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center. Memories of making pies without canned pumpkin, of carving pumpkins – and of tricks of Halloween past were all reviewed. The pumpkins were certainly orange outside and inside – and created a wonderful orange color on one’s hands!

Quality Life-We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
