Broken Bow, NE: Appreciation Week for Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance

Brookestone View celebrated Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Appreciation Week by having a bed making contest. The members of Housekeeping, Laundry and their manager competed in the contest. It was a very close completion but the winner was Christina Olson – she beat her manager, Matt Wallace only because he forgot to tuck the corners! One of our residents was offering them assistance and letting the participants know if the sheet was too long on the side where she was sitting. It was fun to watch and the team members had fun doing the competition once we convinced them to participate. Appreciation posters with their names on them were posted throughout the facility and rolls were provided one morning and sandwiches another day at lunch. We appreciate everything they do at Brookestone View and we hope their week of celebration expressed our gratitude.

Teamwork: Our relationships are built on mutual trust and respect. We recognize the value and worth of each person we are privileged to encounter, work with, and serve. We seek to understand what is important to others and let people know they are appreciated for who they are and what they do.
