Elkhorn, NE: Tailgate Season

Saturday afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., a sea of red lined the hallways here at Brookestone Meadows. The residents were making their way to our beautiful Community Room where the Husker vs. Rutgers game was being displayed on the large movie screen. As the Husker’s warmed up on the field, our residents helped themselves to some tasty spinach and artichoke dip as well as meatballs provided by our culinary team. In game-day like fashion, the residents chanted “Go Big Red!” Many residents invited their family from the community to join in our game day tailgate, hoping to share a Husker win with their loved ones. With six minutes left in the first quarter, the Huskers scored their first touchdown and the residents erupt with joyous cheers! The residents, who sported their Husker gear, were elated during the highs and supportive during the lows of the first BIG Ten game of the season. As the game wound down, Brookestone’s own sea of red celebrated the victory by sharing one last meatball before heading back to their rooms. In the eyes of these seasoned Husker fans, it was a good day for Nebraska.

Outstanding Facilities:  We will develop buildings and grounds that enhance quality life and are recognized as attractive landmarks in their community.
