Emerson, NE: “North to Alaska” via ticket of the IN2L!

Spontaneous travel was the ticket to an informative and engaging virtual trip to Alaska. With our guide Jody, daughter of John and Joann who are residents at Heritage of Emerson, we traveled from Anchorage to the Yukon River and Barrow to Whittier. Our ticket was the IN2L. Our mini vacation included social studies , science and religion. It took us through the many wonders of the beautiful state of Alaska. Using the IN2L was the the way we were able to achieve such versatility in the afternoons gathering. Beginning by venturing to the travel button and finding the great state of Alaska we toured the entire state through the various tabs available ion the IN2L, all while Jody narrated things about the areas. Questions were stirred up by the deeply engaged minds. Fun stories were told about the culture including “Fish” and “Bear” stories. Being able to pull up videos, panoramic displays and slide shows allowed for minds to be nurtured with the information that was being shared. The ultimate trivia test on the state also lent to learning some great facts about the state and really tested our knowledge on things what we had heard. Residents of Heritage as well as friends of the community were joined for an afternoon getaway that they are sure to remember!
