Broken Bow, NE: in2L with Therapy

Here at Brookestone View, the therapies department incorporates the iN2L system into their program daily. It has been great to be able to coordinate this in to therapies, so that residents can get to know this new technology and be more comfortable using it outside of therapies. Sarah Hanson who is a Physical Therapist stated, “The iN2L improves therapy participation and engagement by incorporating fun, interesting, and stimulating activities in with the classic therapeutic activities.” The staff in therapy uses a lot of different programs on the iN2L with the residents; from games to exercises. Kallie McDermott, our Therapy Manager said, “The in2L provides an opportunity to both the staff and residents to engage in activities that are more enjoyable and patient centered. It gets the resident up and moving to where they don’t realize that they are improving their overall quality of life through strengthening, building endurance, as well as improving memory, problem solving, and thinking/processing that need to perform their everyday activities.” Not only is the iN2L a great tool for connecting people and pursuing personal interests it’s great for strengthening and rebuilding residents’ skills for physical, speech, and occupational therapy!

Quality Life:  We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
