David City, NE: 38 Years and Still Caring

Steve Meysenburg has worked at David Place for 38 years in October. This year the vegetable garden was over taken by weeds after the rain we revived. Steve stepped up and volunteered his own time to get the garden back into shape. He could be seen out in the garden early in the morning on his days off pulling weeds and staking plants up. The resident enjoy picking the produce and love eating the fresh produce. Nothing is better then a fresh cucumber from the garden. Steve also planted pumpkins, they are growing in size and the residents are excited for them to turn orange to use as decorations around the building. Early on the the spring Steve said to one of the other staff members in the garden “The way I see it is the garden is like our residents. It needs care, work, and a little love to grow” Thank you Steve for your years of caring and this summer of hard work in the dirt!

Excellent Teams:  We will select and develop team members who radiate warmth, compassion and respect while skillfully performing their duties.
