Hooper, NE: Teaming Up!

Mr. Sealy the head football coach for Logan View contacted Hooper Care Center to see how the football team could interact with our Residents. Coach wanted to come to the facility and have his players push our residents to the park for a picnic. As our facility is on top of a hill, on the opposite end of town than the park, we needed to come up with plan B. On August 8 we took 20 residents to the city park to enjoy a picnic with the Football team. Residents, families, staff, the team and coaches enjoyed grilled hot dogs (160 hot dogs) along with watermelon and cookies made by our Residents. The weather was great, the team showed off a few plays and the companionship with the boys was amazing to watch. On August 18, two residents were able to go watch the team scrimmage, thanks to the help of Director of Nursing Mary Luther. Glee got to see her grandson in action and Norman enjoyed quizzing the boys about their upcoming opponent.

Quality Life:  We will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety, while encouraging personal independence.
