Elkhorn, NE – Glenn Van Ekeren, President of Vetter Health Services (VHS), announced that Shari Terry has been promoted as the Chief Quality Officer. The Chief Quality Officer serves on the VHS leadership team that guides the company’s overall strategic plans and development. This key role will ensure all VHS policies, processes and procedures flow toward World Class quality results. Shari will work collaboratively with internal and external VHS associates to ensure a synergistic effort toward improving all services, processes, and outcomes.

Terry has over 40 years of experience in healthcare for seniors. Her career began in long-term care as a nursing assistant. She earned her Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) from Midland Lutheran College and is certified in Gerontology. Shari received her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and is an adjunct instructor for the Department of Gerontology at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. As a licensed preceptor, she has mentored and plays a key role with Administrators in Training. Shari’s career and service to seniors with VHS began 25 ago. Holding roles such as Director of Nursing, Administrator for three VHS locations, and was recently promoted from her position as Operations Coordinator for the past eight years.

Vetter Health Services owns and/or manages 30 facilities in the Midwest with facilities in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming. Each care center’s Administrator and team develop plans to continuously improve their services and facility with the support from the VHS network. Operating decisions are made locally to assure that each facility remains responsive to the needs of its residents and community.
